after loads & loads & loads of thought, snappysausage is undergoing a slight change, a name change, a slightly changed look, lots of changes, but yes, a change is good right?! so, just for now, the lil shoppy is pretty bare, but you can still get goodies from bonbi forest & some other places too! so don't worry!

it's a bit weird saying bye to the snappy-ness, but it definately won't be forever! the new name & feel is more what we're about now I feel, something a little bit different, a different feel.

since my last ramblings, but quite a bit has happened since then! there's a new addition to the snappy empire, in the form of pickles kitten...

here she is in a weird polaroid style application I downloaded. she looks slightly boss eyed, but it's particularly hard to get a flattering photograph of a speed of light kitten while she is; darting under the sofa/tv cabinet/bed (refusing to come out) or while she is walking over your face in the morning/getting into bed propper human style for a morning cuddle. or wailing outside the bedroom door at 5 am. oh yeah, or sitting on a laptop/batting me/the carpet/tinkly mouse/anything. so yeah, it's pretty difficult to get anything actually done around here at the mo, apart from between about 11-2 when we watch daytime tv together & cuddle (she does, I take the opportunity to actually do something constructive!

i've been working on a brand new website this week. here it is... i'm trying to swap my old domain over to this new site which has been rather difficult & still not there, but hey, whats 24-72 hours to wait to see if it's miraculously worked eh?

i've also been sorting 2 more suppliers, one here & another one in the US, yay! spreading the snappy love!

were at the delapre abbey st george's day craft fair this sunday! the lovely FoDA ladies have been working hard to make it an excellent day, so if you're around northampton please pop along! they have all kinds of exciting things going on, welly wanging, tug of war & a bar just some of them!! it's free to get in there are lots of stalls, face painting & demos, lovely things to buy like chutneys, paintings, cards etc etc & it's free to get in, yay!

here are a few of my favourite fused glass earrings i have been making recently, they're so perfect & smooth, i love them! there's also a set (at the bottom) made from buttons i scrabbled around for in my (now extensive!) button box. they remind me of something a granny would wear.... perhaps that's why i like them so much!

these little beauties, i think is the start of a happy new relationship between me & buttons. i made a massive supply of buttony rings & magnets with the ebay barganicious 25p buttons. they are distinctly creamy, naturaly toned, i really like the way the creams work with the whites & contrast with the blacks. i really enjoyed making these, it made me really happy to stack them together in matching & contrasting colours, hours of fun in buttony heaven!

i should probably say a little bit about all the snow, but instead i'll talk about my ebay button spectacular... for an amazing 25p, yes twofive, i've bought what seems like a million old buttons, not sure what to do with them, but can never have enough old buttons i guess. ahem. also bought lots of little mugs & cute little egg cups this morning, going to be doing some printing onto them, if it works, hopefully it will, as ihave some extra special designs lined up for them! i love egg cups, they're so cute.

these little guys are made with the fabric we brought back from japan. i love the fabric loads & was difficult deciding what to use it for! measuring nearly 3cm round, they're so cute, i've got my eye on lil barry, therefore he may not even make it into the shop...well until i buy more supplies that is!

also this week, poor little lulu had an operation of the, ahem, sensitive nature. she's feeling loads better now & loving her everyone again now though. off to visit her this weekend as shes at my mum&dads at the min... as shes a local at her usual vets just recently!

first attempt at fused glass earrings, back in november, as promised!....

been crazily making more within the last few days & only managed to get a few cuts! think i'm addicted, so everyone will be expecting a lovely pair of earrings for, well, pretty much any occassion really! don't like the waiting much though, to fire, to cool down etc, i get far to excited & want everything done straight away!

i love them, a really nice retro feel to them, also waiting to cool are lots of little tiny ones in lots of colours to, they're so cute. & guess what... you'll be able to buy them HERE!! next saturday (24th jan) how exciting. & of course, i'll pop a few in the shop too.

throughout the last week a fair few new things have arrived in the shop... here. expect a lot more & a few different things too.

a massive box with a lil kiln & some lovely glassy stuff arrived on friday... not had a chance to try out the goodies yet, but come monday there will definaltely be a few samples to take a look at.

popped along to ikea today & got some more display bits for a couple of craft fairs planned within the next few months!

back in november snappysausage trawled on down to bristol for a glass slumping & fusing weekend. many, many, mannyyy cuts later, I returned (after a lovely stay in a posh hotel) feeling like a 3 year old looking at all her paintings she did at school!... admiring my glass bowl/glass coaster attempts & also had a whirl on a microwave kiln... i'm very impatient you see & have very little space, so i could definately do with one of these babies.

so i ordered myself one today & a mega supply of glass! so expect to see lots of lovely glass earrings etc being snappy'd out soon.

lots of food & lots of lovely things later & is now time to venture out of pyjamas & christmas socks & get something more than stuffing pringles in front of bad christmas telly done! there will be lots of new things arriving in the shops within the next week, so keep a beady eye out! amongst all the lovliness there will be some lockety style necklaces, with a super long chain & a fair few new earrings. but still, it would be rude to stop eating the food that was bought for christmas... it IS still the festive period after all!!

better late than never... here are a few pics from the Delapre Abbey Christmas Craft Fair last weekend. Please excuse the poor pics... we spent both saturday & sunday there & only managed to get a few (quite blurry & dark) pics! probably something to do with being frozen to my seat for the duration of the weekend! 3 pairs of socks later & we had a really good sunday, saturday was just a bit wet (very!!) was lovely chatting to everyone & sitting there stuffing mince pies haha.

slightly chopped off head in this one, i was looking all fluffed up (with my 3 layers) & distinctly grumpy ha.

ss is back, full of ideas, having sourced lots of new materials & bits! i tried really really hard not to buy absolutely everything in site, but still came back with an array of cute goodies. now back & busy making things for up & coming craft shows & sending off new things to new homes, been soo busy lately that things have taken me longer than i planned, but can start to get everything done now! not feeling too christmassy yet though, so bring on the mince pies!

snappysausage is a little bit closer to home on saturday 13th & sunday 14th december. pop down to Delapre Abbey from 10-4 on either day to pick up some wonderfully festive goodies! all stalls will be in a lovely headed marquee, we will be there on both days, but on the sunday there will be carol singing!

first is the pirate bracelet, made from mixed chain, gold plated & vintage rope style chain. a haematite anchor swings amongst a variety of faux pearls, swarovski, little gold tone capped pink beads & lots more. ties together with a length of lace so might need a little help doing it up!

hours & hours & hours were spent finishing snappysausage's web page. i am a (sort of) expert of all things html-y & pixel-y. there are a still a few items that need to be popped into the shop though, so keep checking back to see them!

lots of new things to make too, so you shall be seeing some new jewellery bits soon & also some little cards!

lena corwin's printing by hand is also travelling over from america, so there may just be some printed lovlies in the store too.

i'm still working on my homeware/printed stuff, just looking into printers/fabrics etc at the mo.

today is paddington bear's 50th birthday! jeremy clarkson's mum designed & made the first paddingtom bear! who says daytime telly isn't educational eh!

i have also become god wan's friend on myspace...pretty good day so far, ha.

been making making making recently as photographing hasn't gone too well. got a spangly new lighting set but a (now) two legged tripod incident *ahem* has stopped me from using it properly.

take a look at the lovely lovely bags my (even more lovely) mum has sewn for mee, pretty much a whole afternoon & evenins work sweating over the sewing machine. *thanks mum* oh and an emergency ribbon delivery by me...which has now run out again alreadyy. they come in small medium & large with a little embroidered snappysausage tag, everything purchased will arrive in one... well jewellery wise that is.

i found more fabric yesterday, more stripes, diff colour & size cheques too woop!

phew, had a mega photo taking session this afternoon & still more to do, updates will be on the site soooon and maybe a few for snappy's myspace too. the stuff will be then packed up & sent to a new concession at the beginning of next week... details to come! i am also working on some little cards that i hope to get printed at the end of this week too!
